Services

The Auditory Outreach has a multidisciplinary team that works collaboratively with parents, school and district staff and other local community service providers to help address the needs of students experiencing auditory challenges.  The Auditory Outreach is student-centred and family focussed.  Team members can provide consultation and in-service as well as assist with assessments in the areas of Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology, and Education.

Specific services have been developed to assist children with cochlear implants and/or hearing aids.  Where recommended by an audiologist, loan of assistive listening devices will be considered in order to facilitate auditory access to the curriculum and/or to promote the student's language development.

Special projects may also be undertaken to address the evolving needs of children with a variety of auditory challenges in British Columbia.
